Forfeit Fee Policy  Effective January 2020

KC Premiere will be strictly enforcing our Forfeit Fee Policy -- Team(s) who do not show up or field enough players, for a game will be charged $100 per game, unless the game is covered by a suitable opponent.

The $100 forfeit fee must be paid before the forfeiting team will be allowed to play another game.

The forfeit fee covers the costs incurred for the game not played and for the game to be rescheduled for the team owed a game. There are other addistional financial losses and  $100 forfeit fee helps offset these costs.
Please bear in mind besides financial burdens, the results of a forfeit include the inconvenience caused to teams (some traveling considerable distances) and families, and the disappointment of kids not getting to play.  Consequently, we want to avoid forfeits by all means.

Fan Reminders
  • NO PARKING in fire zones! Only park in designated spots. Cars will be ticketed and towed.

  • No food or drinks are allowed in the gym at any schools, unless the school is selling concessions. Water / sport drinks are allowed.  This is school policy and must be strictly enforced.

  • All children must be under the supervision of an adult at all times.  For their safety, children may not play in hallways, under bleachers, on top of bleachers, or on any equipment belonging to school.

  • Inappropriate fan behavior will not be tolerated. Please remember that we all need to strive to be good sports and positive role models. (Review our Code of Conduct, below!)
  • Arrival Time: Teams participating in the first game of the day should not arrive more than 30 minutes before game time as we cannot enter the building until that time.  At Park Hill schools... arrive no more than 15 minutes before first game.

Code of Conduct
Kansas City Premiere Basketball, the officials and coaches involved in this game, are committed to providing a safe and positive playing environment for the kids.

  • Therefore, we enforce a NO TOLERANCE POLICY regarding ANY negative remarks made towards officials, opponents, their fans or coaches
  • ANY unsportsmanlike behavior will result in immediate removal from the game.  NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED

  • Thank you for your cooperation.  Let’s all work together to enjoy the game!
KC Premiere Concussion Protocol
  • Any player involved in any contact to the head (head to head, head to floor, head to elbow, etc.) will be immediately removed from the game for parental evaluation.

  • If they were fouled on the play and are due free throws, the substitute will shoot the free throws. The player must remain out of the game for at least one play.

  • Before that player can return to the floor, the parent (and only a parent) must evaluate their player and authorize their return.

  • The authorization should be written on the score sheet and state: “I (parent’s name) give permission for (player’s name) to return to the game” followed by signature.
  • If a parent is not available, the player may not return to that game or any other game being played on that date.

  • The officials have the ultimate authority and discretion to determine if it is not safe for a player to return to the game due to contact to the head, or any other injury.

  • Please support the officials, and our league by adhering to this new protocol designed to keep our participants safe, thanks in advance for your cooperation!
  • Officials will document any head injury or other serious injury preventing a player from returning to the game on an incident report form.

KC Premiere Inclement Weather Protocol
  • If any facility cancels our games or we decide to cancel all games, a notice will be posted on our website Home page so, check the website first. It is very unusual for the school district to cancel our games unless lots cannot be plowed or there is a staffing issue.

  • The teams in our events come from a wide geographical area, so it may be safe to travel for one team and not safe for another. If you feel it is unsafe for your team to travel, let us know at least 4 hours before your scheduled game time so we can call off your opponent. If you do not cancel with at least 4 hours’ notice, a $100 forfeit fee will apply.
  • If you have not been called off, but are still concerned, please call 913-634-4522  (Kristen Davis) before your team leaves for the game.

  • Please do not call the office or send an email as no one is in the office on the weekends.

  • Anytime we have inclement weather it becomes harder to field a team, please communicate with your team to make sure you have enough. It would be a real bummer for a team to struggle to get to the gym and then not have enough players or anyone to play once they get there.
