KC Premiere Inclement Weather Protocol
• If any facility cancels our games or we decide to cancel all games, a notice will be posted on our website, so check the website first. It is very unusual for the school district to cancel our games unless lots cannot be plowed or staffing issue.
• The teams in our tournaments come from a wide geographical area, so it may be safe to travel for one team and not safe for another team. If you feel it is unsafe for your team to travel, let us know at least 4 hours before your scheduled game time so we can call off your opponent. If you do not cancel with at least 4 hours’ notice, a $100 forfeit fee will apply.
• If you have not been called off, but are still concerned, please call Kristen Davis's cellphone before your team leaves for the game: 913-634-4522. Please do not call the office or send an email as I am not in the office on weekend.
· Anytime we have inclement weather it becomes harder to field a team, please communicate with your team to make sure you have enough. It would be a real bummer for a team to struggle to get to the gym and then not have enough players or anyone to play once they get there

KC PREMIERE CONCUSSION PROTOCOL
Any player involved in any contact to the head (head to head, head to floor, head to elbow, head to wall, etc.) must be immediately removed from the game for parental evaluation.
If they were fouled on the play and are due free throws, the substitute will shoot the free throws. The player must remain out of the game for at least one play.
Before that player can return to the floor, the parent (not a coach or any other person) must evaluate their player and authorize their return to the game.
The authorization should be written on the score sheet for their team and state: “I (parent’s name) give permission for (player’s name) to return to the game” followed by signature.
If a parent is not available, the player may not return to that game or any other game being played on that date.
The officials have the ultimate authority and discretion to determine if it is not safe for a player to return to the game due to contact to the head, or any other injury.
Please support the officials, and our league by adhering to this new protocol designed to keep our participants safe, thanks in advance for your cooperation!
Officials, as a reminder, any head injury or other serious injury preventing a player from returning to the game should be documented on an incident report form.
