Coach/Player Behavior         Spectator Behavior


 

SPORTSMANSHIP = SUCCESS

First and foremost, the purpose of K.C. Premiere Basketball 
is to support the development of young athletes in a safe and positive environment.

Therefore, the following unacceptable behaviors by players, coaches, and fans... 

- - - WILL NOT BE TOLERATED - - -


1. Use of any profanity by players, coaches or fans.
 

2. Any threats or intimidation directed towards players, coaches, fans or the officials, police will be notified immediately.


3. Throwing objects onto the court or at participants.
 

4. Inappropriate interaction with officials, including but not limited to:

    1. Constantly questioning judgment of officials.

    2. Harassing, berating, or threatening officials.

    3. Name calling or throwing temper tantrums.

5. Walking onto court unless directed by an official.
 

6. Confronting an official in a threatening manner.
 

7. Any fighting among players, coaches, and fans.
 

8. Negative yelling towards coaches, officials, players or scorekeepers. Note: Score personnel are part of the officiating crew and must remain neutral and professional.
 

9. Refusing to follow directions from officials or staff.
 

10. Any other unruly, unnecessary, or inappropriate behavior that interferes with a safe and positive environment.  

 

Coach/Player Behavior

 

Situations involving inappropriate coach, or player behavior
will be dealt with according to NFHS guidelines:

 

1. A technical foul will be assessed, or immediate player ejection may occur.
 

2. A second technical will be assessed; player or coach will then be automatically ejected.
 

3. Two direct or three indirect technical fouls will result in the ejection of the head coach. Note: Any ejection will be reviewed immediately by the Premiere Basketball, Inc. Board of Directors to determine eligibility for future contests.
 

4. If player or coach is unwilling to leave after ejection, coach must remove player or him/herself within two minutes; otherwise, the offending team will forfeit the game.
 

5. If the situation persists, the police will be contacted.

 

Spectator/Fan Behavior

 

Situations involving inappropriate fan behavior
will be handled as follows:

 

1. Coach will be asked for assistance and warned that fan behavior may result in one or more technical foul(s) being assessed to the head coach.
 

2. Official may request assistance of site supervisor if fan needs to be removed.
 

3. If fan is unwilling to leave, coach must remove fan within two minutes; otherwise, the offending team will forfeit game.
 

4. If the situation persists, the police will be contacted.

 

The offender may or may NOT receive a warning, depending upon the severity of the behavior before being required to leave the facility.

 

Extreme behavior or multiple incident reports of a serious nature will result in permanent dismissal from K.C. Premiere Basketball events.

 

Entry fees and admission fees are non-refundable in the event of inappropriate behavior.
