PROCEDURE FOR REQUESTING PRACTICE TIME TIME at SHAWNEE MISSION GYMS :
You must be a KC Premiere League team to qualify for practice time.

STEP 1:  Go to www.smsd.org

STEP 2:  Click on Schools/Departments picture

STEP 3:  On left side of screen go to bottom pull down menu and click on: "DEPARTMENTS"

STEP 4:  In pull down menu click on: "STUDENT SERVICES/ATHLETICS"

STEP 5:  Under Common Links click on: "AD ASTRA ROOM RESERVATIONS"  
               ► View Reservations Page

STEP 6:  Using the pull down methods you can look up available gym time by entering school, room and date or use a range of dates.

STEP 7:  If nothing comes up, then the gym time is available. *After checking the “GYM” check the building by selecting “BUILDING” instead of “GYM” to make sure the entire building is not blocked off due to a school function

STEP 8:  You must send your practice request all at one time – if you only have one date that is fine, otherwise must send for the whole season.  Request must include school(s), date(s), and time (i.e. 6-7:30pm)

Allow 24-72hrs to process a request thru SMSD; once you request it, it's is yours!

STEP 9: Kristen will e-mail you a copy of your permits that have been issued

*If a requested date is listed as ”tentative” on permit, you may NOT use the gym!

STEP 10: Once permits are received, remit payment to: KC Premiere Basketball

All Shawnee Mission practice times are $15 an hour and must be paid for up front!
