We sponsor both boys and girls competitive teams. Our players are from all over the KC Metro. We have teams for the following:
We prepare kids for the next level, whichever level that is. We believe in maximizing kids and their potential on and off the basketball court, as both student-athletes and people.
All of our coaches are trained and experienced. Our head coaches are pay eligible (receive a percentage of player fees each season). Our assistant coaches are volunteer based. We hold our kids accountable on coachability, attitude, sportsmanship, toughness and skill.
Those that participate in our program earn playing time. We encourage our coaches to play everyone as much as possible, but there is no playing time rule. Kids earn the most playing time by attending practices regularly, being coachable, and having skill progression.
All our boys teams practice in Shawnee Mission School District locations. For grades 3-8th, practices are usually twice a week (Tuesdays/Thursdays). For grades 9-11th, practices are usually once a week (Tuesdays or Thursdays).
Our girls teams practice both in Shawnee Mission School District and Park Hill School District locations (depending on which location is closer to you). Practices are at least once a week (Mondays and/or Wednesdays), depending on which location.
Our teams play against other competitive club teams in the KC Metro. We play in our sponsored KC Premiere league year-round (Sundays), as well as 1-2 tournaments per month (either KC Premiere tournaments or other local/regional tournaments hosted by other organizations).
Both our boys and girls teams typically play at least once a weekend (league and/or tournament). Each team/grade level varies on tournament participation. Our more competitive teams will participate in more tournaments.
When We Play
We play basketball year-round. The breakdown of our "sessions" are typically as follows:
Prior to each session, we hold tryouts for both current and new participants looking to play with us. We do make cuts. For those that make one of our teams, we ask that each participant at least commits to one "session" when wanting to play with us. It is possible that spots on teams are still available even after tryouts.
The cost for our players is competitive and based on the time of the year, gender and grade. For details, please refer to our TEAM FEES.
Contact us at (816) 454-2650, or email TJ Taylor, at firstname.lastname@example.org (for girls teams) or Nate Parks, at email@example.com (for boys teams).
All of our kids must have valid paperwork completed and on file with us to be eligible.
